Cum Laude: Historic Preservation and Higher Education
Thank you to all who made our 2015 Cum Laude Event a major success!
Congratulations to our honorees and the most sincere thanks to all our sponsors, donors and guests who made our Cum Laude: Historic Preservation and Higher Education event such a success on Saturday, July 18, 2015.
Pasadena Heritage celebrated four spectacular higher education institutions: Art Center College of Design, California Institute of Technology, Fuller Seminary, and Pasadena City College. These four institutions have been excellent stewards of important historic buildings on their campuses in Pasadena.
Our venue was the Art Center College of Design campus. The evening’s festivities began with a cocktail reception featuring live music from some of Pasadena City College's students, beautiful flowers by Honeycomb Florals, and dinner from Solexo Catering. A brief opening remarks were given by Pasadena Mayor Terry Torneck. Cum Laude affords Pasadena Heritage the opportunity to honor other institutions that contribute to preserving the best of Pasadena’s past while contributing to a better future.
Internationally known artist Kenton Nelson's spectacular new painting of the Colorado Street Bridge was unveiled at our event.
Proceeds from this event provided critical support for our historic preservation efforts. It is only through the support of individuals such as yourself that Pasadena Heritage is able to carry out its work.
