Zone Zero: Facts and the Future of Living in the Wildland-Urban Interface

Join Pasadena Heritage for an important and timely webinar about Zone Zero—the new regulations requiring a 5-foot ember-resistant zone around homes in fire-prone areas. Learn what this means for your property, how to prepare, and what the future holds for communities in the Wildland-Urban Interface.

Our speaker, Stephanie Landregan, FASLA, is a nationally recognized landscape architect and educator. She recently retired as the Director of the Landscape Architecture and Horticulture & Gardening Programs at UCLA Extension, where her work emphasized community-based design and sustainable practices.

Drawing on her years of experience in the Wildland Urban Interface as Chief Landscape Architect for the Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority, Stephanie brings deep insight into balancing fire safety, resilient landscapes, and neighborhood character. She is also a co-founder of Altadena Green, a grassroots initiative working to preserve and restore the character, heritage, and culture of the tree canopy of Altadena.

Don’t miss this opportunity to better understand Zone Zero and how it will impact our community.

This is a free webinar, and donations to support Pasadena Heritage’s programs are warmly welcomed.
