James “Jim” Ipekjian has spent more than 50 years as a master craftsman, creating custom furniture, lighting, and woodwork, including extensive work inspired by Greene & Greene.
His connection to the Blacker House began in 1994, when he was hired to participate in the home’s extensive restoration. Jim went on to serve as project manager for the restoration, overseeing the many trades involved in involved in the work, and was later commissioned to reproduce the home’s original furniture.
This rare two-hour tour offers an opportunity to experience the Blacker House with someone who knows it from the inside out.
Jim will share his firsthand perspective on the house, its restoration, and the extraordinary craftsmanship behind one of Greene & Greene’s most celebrated works.
